Just Say NO

There's a hanful of foods you have to say "NO" to on a regular basis and they can be found in foods that taste good or make you feel good. We have lost the definition of food and have defined it as anything that you can put in your mouth and not die right away. It's what we put in our mouths that's giving us all the heart disease, diabetes, cancer, obesity and a list a mile long. It's not pure genetics. Yes, your genectics can make you more susceptible but you have to trigger it. You might say there's lots of people who ate the western diet their whole lives and they're ok but you can smoke cigarettes all your life and not get lung cancer. Are you going to be the lucky one and do you want to take that chance?

Grains

Rice, noodles, pasta, bread, flour, oatmeal and anything that looks like what I just mentioned. What about whole wheat? That's good for you right? Not even whole wheat. But they all say it's good for you and it's natural? They would make you think that it's natural cause when you think of whole wheat you think of a field of wheat growing in all it's vast glory and all those commercials telling you how it's so good for you. The truth is humans cannot digest any of these foods without them being processed and then cooked. This is why wheat is one of the most common food allergies. Only birds and rodents are meant to eat grains. Grains and starches are basically sugar with hardly any nutrients and there's hardly any difference when you eat the whole wheat stuff. Yes there is apparently more fibre but from my experience it pales in comparison to the fibre you get from fruits and vegetables. I ate whole wheat items every meal at one point in my life and it did nothing for my bowels. Once I started eating fruit and vegetables the difference was noticable immediately. The excess carbohydrates humans get are mainly from grains and starches and it's a big reason why we get some of the diseases we get and why a lot of us are overweight. Humans are suppose to get their carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables and it's very difficult to eat excess grams of carbohydrates from them.

Sugary Treats

Oh that sinfully delicious sweet poison that's decorated with pretty colours and devoured ever so ungracefully by the human race. Cakes, pies, cookies, ice cream, brownies, candy, chocolate, oh my goodness the list doesn't stop and I love them all! However, it's really bad for you folks. Look at the nutritional information for these next time and you'll find they have the most carbohyrates and sugar. Just remember too much carbohyrates and sugar turns into fat. Also, many of these treats contain another big devil which is hydrogenated vegetable oil which is used in abundance these days instead of more natural fats like butter and lard for it's cost and longevity.

Condiments and Sauces

These are just things to make your food taste better and that usually involves a lot of sugar and ingredients that sound foreign. If you're going to use anything use extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil or if you have to sin use a little butter. I use organic unpasterized butter.

Sugary Drinks

This is a good one to cut out. If you're going to change your diet I would actually recommend this be the first thing you do if you want to slowly ease into it. Just drink water, tea or even coffee but no sugar or cream. No soda, fruit juice or any other of those colourful drinks. It's just sugar water. Fruit juice is no good for you cause it's not the whole fruit you're putting in your body. It's just the juice, leaving out the fibre and the other good stuff. If you're going to have a few alcoholic drinks opt for something mixed with soda water since it has no sugar.

Conclusion

If it was never possible to eat it without processing it or cooking it than you probably shouldn't be eating it. Everything I mentioned and also packaged foods like tv dinners and boxed snacks are all processed for taste and longevity. They're basically drugs disguised and marketed as food.
